Good evening, CHHS families. This message is to let you know that all students were given their first progress report for the T1 grading period today out of their 5th block class. Please review those with your student and reach out to teachers with any questions. This is also a reminder that we have morning and afternoon tutoring available through our ESS program on Tuesday-Thursday every week. Thank you and have a great evening.

All information regarding available clubs, dues, and payment options is available to students on the CHHS Student Homepage at bit.ly/chbruins. Bruin families, I wanted to make you aware of two opportunities we are currently offering to all students for academic help. First, our ESS services for morning and afternoon begin next week. Applications are in the main office, and you can contact your guidance counselor for more information.  Second, our library media center offers a Writing Lab service for students. This is additional help beyond the classroom for students with written assignments. Please see our school Facebook page, our Live Feed flyer info through Thrillshare, or in the attachments on this email for more information on both opportunities.

first day of school information
All students will have access to free breakfast and free lunch again this school year. However, each family is still required to complete a Household Income Form to maintain accurate data as a requirement for state and federal funding. You can find the form at this link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application

Free lunches are provided through a program called the Community Elgibility Provision (CEP). The continuation of CEP is dependendent on the number of school meals served. We encourage all students to participate in school lunch and school breakfast as much as possible!

Parents, Middle School Students & High School Students ...

We know that today is the first day back from the KHSAA Dead Period.
Therefore, many parents may be downloading our new app for the first time and/or trying to gain access to Rooms from Apptegy, one of the HCS-approved forms of electronic communication.

Here is a video that provides instructions for students and parents on how to gain Rooms from Apptegy access:

https://youtu.be/bSQITvT0Wm0

We hope this helps answer some questions.

Thank you!!!
